Medication Management
When medication is part of your treatment plan, it should be carefully chosen, closely monitored, and adjusted as you grow. We provide ongoing psychiatric medication management with attention, precision, and care.
What Is Medication Management?
Medication management at Pendo BHS is not a one-time prescription. It’s an ongoing, relationship-based process in which Janet Moriango, PMHNP, works with you to find the right medication, the right dose, and the right timing — and adjusts over time as your needs evolve.
We monitor how medications affect your mood, sleep, energy, and daily functioning. We track side effects. We consider your lifestyle, other medications, and personal preferences. Your safety and your progress always come first.
Our Step-by-Step Process
Medication Review
We review your current and past medications, responses, side effects, and any concerns before recommending anything new.
Collaborative Decision
Medication choices are made together. We explain the options, the expected benefits, the possible side effects, and the alternatives.
Careful Initiation
We start at the appropriate dose and schedule follow-ups at key intervals to track your initial response.
Ongoing Monitoring
Regular check-ins allow us to adjust dosage, switch medications if needed, or taper off safely when you’re ready.

Common Questions
Will I be on medication forever?
Not necessarily. Some people benefit from short-term medication support; others require longer-term management. We reassess regularly and always involve you in that decision.
What if I experience side effects?
Contact us immediately. We will adjust your dosage or explore alternatives. You should never suffer through side effects without support.
Can you prescribe controlled substances?
As a PMHNP, Janet Moriango is licensed to prescribe a range of psychiatric medications, including controlled substances where clinically appropriate and in compliance with Delaware regulations.
How often will I have follow-up appointments?
Initially every 2–4 weeks, then monthly or quarterly once stable. We’re also accessible between appointments if something comes up.
